Now for the unique part of the game: Exploration. Arcadia is a world with its locales and cities, which you can actually travel to and visit. At least 13 cities are planned.

Commands:

  • travel <location> (e.g. travel hav) - Travel to an adjacent location

  • destinations / dest - View adjacent locations and their travel times / level requirements

  • wander - An hourly roll that is location-dependent

  • location [city] - Get info on a location. Leave blank for current location

  • Other: tripplan, map, atlas, population / pop

Currently, the system is in place, but relatively simple. But it will be filled in with fun things like travel encounters, more cities and locales, and cooler scenarios.

The Map

Periodically updated. Can be pulled up in the bot using the map command.

Traveling

Travel to a different location.

The destinations command is recommended for regular use, as it also provides the "shortcode" (the three-letter reference to a location, e.g. hav or gal), travel time, and level requirements.

Traveling to certain locations also requires a toll (usually a small amount in CP), which shows up when calling the travel command.

Note that, during a journey, you are not able to wander.

Wandering

The wander command is quite simple. You call it as is, get a scenario, typically with a 60-minute cooldown. The scenarios that you get are location-dependent.

There are three types of shards: Fire đŸ”Ĩ, Water 💧, and Wind 🍃. These shards are location-dependent: each city (aside from Haven) contains one shard, and each shard can only be found in four of the twelve cities.

Hidden Locations

A Note on Rolls

Sometimes, the wander scenario requires a stat roll to determine success or failure. This is what happens in the back end:

  • Let's say the scenario involves punching a rock, which requires STR.

  • The bot looks through your party for the Protag with the highest STR modifier. (In case of a tie, it picks randomly.)

  • The bot rolls for STR using said Protag, with its STR modifiers.

  • Hopefully you succeed!

So, having several diversified Protagonists does provide extra bonuses. (Incidentally, weekly works almost identically.)

For instances where the scenario rewards XP, the XP is granted to whichever Protagonist rolled. (If it does not involve a specific stat, then the roll and XP go to your default Protag.)

Now, imagine traveling merchants wandering around the map, or boss raids popping up in specific cities. Wouldn't that be lively?

Currently, you can earn XP, various (such as ARC), , and (crude ore and shards). You also get some lore on the places themselves.

There are currently 5 hidden locations in Arcadia that can only be accessed by chance through the wander command. Some locations have hidden , while others have increased chances of obtaining resources. See if you can find them all! â›ĩ
